1 incinerate / sonic youth
This is a song by alternative rock masters Sonic Youth. The band had a huge influence on the later grunge movement, such as Nirvana. The irregularly tuned guitars are actually well calculated and beautiful. It also has a very cool, fast-paced feel to it.
2 Automatic / Hikaru Utada
This is the famous first single of the Heisei era diva, Utada Hikaru. It's stylish and cool, and it's amazing that she wrote this song at the age of 15. It's a great song that will never fade away.
3 Leave Before the Lights Come On / arctic monkeys
I came across this band on youtube and instantly fell in love with them when I first heard them. The beautiful chords are emotional, and the light guitar and distinctive vocals are really cool.
4 Graduation / Yuki Saito
This is a classic song composed by Kyohei Tsutsumi. I love the gentle, warm, and somewhat sad feeling. I have been listening to Showa songs since I was a child, partly due to my grandparents' influence, so this song brings back memories for me.
5 Silent Majority / Keyaki Zaka46
This was the first CD I bought, and Zelkova-zaka46 and Nogizaka-46 were the first ones that got me into listening to music in earnest. I was in junior high school at the time, and I was shocked by the center of the group, Ms. Hirate, who was the same age as me. I still love the songs of the Sakamichi group.
6 chocolate / the 1975
One of the most important bands of our time, the 1975 has been in the indie rock trend in the rock scene since the 2000s, and their stylish and refreshing feel is perfect for mornings and driving.
7 Namida ga Kirari☆ / Spitz
Spitz was often played in my mother's car when I was a little girl, and I get very nostalgic feelings when I hear it. I think that Spitz is my original experience of music.
8 basket case / green day
I fell in love with this song after listening to a Western music omnibus, and it is the song that made me start listening to Western music and rock music more often. Green Day has a lot of pop songs that are easy to listen to, so I recommend them to people who want to try listening to Western music and rock.
9 Sakura no Mori / Gen Hoshino
This is a song from the album "Yellow Dancer," which has a strong influence of black music. You can feel that influence especially in this song. I can't get enough of the pop and stylish so-called "Hoshino Gen feeling" in the intro.
