After releasing two singles in 2021, the band's husky, lustrous voice and jazzy, sophisticated arrangements became a hot topic, and they were picked up by various famous playlists.

This time, CRJA FUKUOKA asked them to answer three questions after they reached No.1 on the charts dated November 21 and December 5!

◇Three questions

When and why did you start your music career?

Suzume (Vo.): I started music because I wanted to sing along with the back of my head, which I heard while sitting on the back of my mom's bike.

Harumaki (Sax): Please tell us when and why you started your music career. Harumaki (Sax): I started taking piano lessons at the age of four under the influence of my parents. (I can't play now!). Then, when I was in the fourth grade, I joined the brass band club and started playing the saxophone.

Tomokazu Tanizawa (Gt.): I joined the jazz club at university. After graduation, I wanted to continue my music career while working.

Ryo (Key.): My older sister plays the piano, and I thought it was really cool to see her play.

Kent Mitani (Ba.): I joined an electone ensemble class when I was five years old. Since then, I've been playing bass recorders, cellos, double basses, electric basses, and other low instruments. I started composing music when I started playing in a band.

Kazune Nakanishi (Ds.): I was attracted to drums after seeing my uncle, who is a singer, perform live, so I started learning when I was in elementary school.

Who are some of your influences?

Suzume (Vo.): salyu!

Harumaki (Sax): I'm David Sanborn, a saxophone player.

Tomokazu Tanizawa (Gt.): Pat Metheny, Steely Dan, Tatsuro Yamashita

Ryo (Key.) :Robert Glasper

Kent Mitani (Ba.): I've been influenced by Seiji Kameda, Stuart Zender, Kenni Hino, etc. on bass... Keiichi Tomita, Hidekazu Tanaka, Oster, etc. on music composition... honestly, there are too many to mention. I have been influenced by so many people that there is no end to the list.

Kazune Nakanishi (Ds.): Daichi Ito

Please tell us about the part of the chart-topping song "Toketeku" that you want us to pay attention to.

Suzume (Vo.): I think it's nice to hear the chorus with the image of myself floating in the air!

Harumaki (Sax): In the last part of the song, I use the saxophone to express the gentle and sad feelings I have for my partner. Please pay attention to it!

Tomokazu Tanizawa (Gt.): Be sure to check out the backing sound work that adds color to this mellow song!

Ryo (Key.): It's all about the sharpness of the instrumentation. I hope you enjoy listening to it.

Kent Mitani (Ba.): The composition of the song develops with each scene, and the lyrics warmly depict the sweet and sour days of the two of them.

Kazune Nakanishi (Ds.): I tried to play the drums to accompany the sweet and sour melody with equal parts of crush and sadness.
